Common Symptoms & Conditions
Shared by CRPS Patients

Past viral infections

Past infections may not be direct symptoms of CRPS, but infections or immune responses could potentially contribute to the development or exacerbation of CRPS in some cases.

Brain fog and memory loss

Some individuals with CRPS may experience cognitive difficulties, including brain fog and memory issues, as a result of chronic pain and the impact of the condition on overall well-being.

Chronic bladder infections

Chronic bladder infections can be a separate medical issue and are not typically considered a direct symptom of CRPS.

Childhood Asthma

While not directly related to CRPS, childhood asthma is a separate respiratory condition characterized by airway inflammation and bronchoconstriction. It is not a symptom of CRPS.

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) & Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)

POTS and EDS are separate conditions that can coexist with CRPS. EDS is a connective tissue disorder that can increase the risk of developing CRPS, and POTS can be associated with autonomic nervous system dysfunction seen in some CRPS cases.

GI dysfunction

Gastrointestinal (GI) dysfunction, such as digestive problems, may be associated with chronic pain conditions like CRPS due to the complex interaction between the nervous system and the GI tract.

CRPS spreading to other areas

CRPS can sometimes spread to other areas of the body, a phenomenon known as “spreading” or “generalization.” This occurs when the symptoms extend beyond the initial site of injury. It is a characteristic feature of CRPS.

Decreased immune function

Chronic pain and stress associated with CRPS may potentially impact immune function, but this is not a universally recognized symptom of CRPS.

Insomnia

Insomnia or sleep disturbances can be linked to chronic pain conditions, including CRPS, due to the discomfort and pain experienced by individuals.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

PTSD can develop in response to traumatic events, including severe injuries that may lead to CRPS. While PTSD and CRPS can coexist, they are distinct conditions with different diagnostic criteria.

We cannot say thank you enough for what the Spero Clinic has done for our 11-year-old son. We finally found our hope and healing ❤️. The staff became like family to us. Genuine, charismatic individuals who love what they do and just want to see the best for their patients. Forever grateful for Dr. Katinka and all of her staff. I can happily say we are still pain-free and our son is finally getting his life back playing baseball once again.

I am beyond grateful to The Spero Clinic. I suffered with CRPS for 20 long years. The last 2 years, became unbearable…I took a huge leap of faith and traveled to Arkansas from Detroit, MI. After 14 weeks of treatment, I was pain free! I am also off ALL medications and my spinal cord stimulator is off...

There’s Always a Reason

01

Discounted rates : We often face criticism that our treatment is expensive and unaffordable to many. However, most people do not realize that our treatment is actually much less expensive than others, such as pain programs offered by major hospitals across the US.

02

Eliminate health bills: Being sick is expensive. Eliminating the root causes of illness can potentially save thousands of dollars in future medical bills, not to mention the wasted time seeing doctor after doctor again and again.

03

Drug-free solutions : Our services are drug-free and non-invasive. Not everyone wants to be on pain medication. For example, many parents we see are looking for better treatment for their kids.

04

Life after pain : Pain is a thief. Pain steals your hopes and dreams and ability to spend quality time with your loved ones. Chronic Pain takes joy away and leaves a person in your place that eventually,  you don’t recognize.
Most people don’t realize how much it means not to live in pain until they have lost this privilege. Dr. Katinka often says that regaining a life after the pain is a better life, filled with joy and gratitude, and quality. It is a privilege that those who fought to get their lives back never take for granted.
